Wang Bo and Zhao Xing: worthy joint winners of a Van Hall Larenstein award to Yunnan Agricultural University students in celebration of YAUs 70th. Birthday celebrations.  Both students will leave for the Netherlands in August where they will study International Horticulture and Marketing for two years.

The lakeside village on the Yunnan side is home to one of the last matriarchal societies in China. There is, or was, no marriage, and the children live with their mothers. The place is as relaxed and happy as the look on this young womens face suggests.
