It is not common for wives to take the name of their husband in China.  However, the father’s surname is adopted by the children.  In this case, Wang (father’s surname) has been taken by Li.

If you can’t be bothered with the formalities here then a short walk to the right will bring you to a river crossing where any number of boat operators will take you across for a price. NOT recommended for westerners to take this option. Regardless of whether you have a visa or not, as in any other country, entering the country without an entry stamp in your passport and you have done so illegally.

On one occasion my own passport was not stamped correctly at a land border crossing in China.  However, when this was noticed by a keen eyed Chinese immigration official on a subsequent visit, they were a lot more understanding than most other countries might be.
